How Great Thou Art…!

This week has been an especially hard one in a few different ways. I have felt under attack for one thing or another. Unjustly!

This morning I decided to listen to my music and when I got to “How Great Thou art” I could just feel the Holy Spirit and the love of Jesus surrounding me and healing my hurts.

I felt that “hum if static electricity” that always signals his presence for me with the palpable love I feel surrounding me like a cocoon. I was moved to tears at His presence.

It’s wonderful to know that you know that the God of this vast universe cares about the small things in each of our lives.

I am eternally grateful!

I will release all that I perceive as wrongs to His care for He is certainly capable.

In my humanness I often forget that Gods’ spirit is always present to heal and thus carry my own burdens.

Today I am feeling so blessed to be touched by his presence. Here is David’s psalm below.

Psalm 121

I will lift up mine eyes to the hills from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore…

I love the final verse so much, it’s a reminder of the constant love of God.

May we remember sooner to cast our cares upon Him and not carry so much on our feeble shoulders.

And know that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

  1. Not 100% sure my comment posted, so you might see this twice. Yes, we will always be attacked in life, but glad to see your strong in your Faith. We always remember the Bible quote on the Armor of God and putting it on to remain strong. I have been attacked so many times, I lost count, but Holding Strong. Hold Strong!

  2. I opened up WordPress after I finished writing my chapel talk for this evening and it was also on Psalm 121. Great psalm. Those on the pilgrimage to Jerusalem looked to that city on the hill, understanding God was in His house but also everywhere else as well. Because of Christ’s work, we have that same assurance. He told His disciples not long before His death, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). There is no greater comfort than that. He truly is great!

      1. There is always a time to lift our head up to the creator,in his divine mechanism,he massage our system, detox our pains and worries, giving us a new self and look… divine activation.

Whenever there is obstacles go back to your bank of testimonials, check how God did the impossibles in the very past, he did it then, I can assure you that,I can still do it again, the Same God yesterday, today and forever…

        You are made strong.

  3. Beautiful Psalm and appropriate for me today. May I suggest that quotes be highlighted by bolding the font and if you change the font to cursive. Just a minute suggestion to separate your quote from your shared thoughts which I also like.

  4. You are such an example of strength to me, Pene’. I’m glad you found peace in hymns and in His word. The scripture you shared from Psalms is so touching, that Jesus is our Keeper and is always there. May God continue to bless and keep you 🙏.
